Maroon 5, an American rock band, is originally from Los Angeles, California and was formed in 1994 with the band name Kara's Flowers. The band signed with Octone Records released their debut album in June 2002 called "Songs About Jane". In 2013, Maroon 5 became one of the most successful acts of Interscope Records because the band was the third most played artist on Top 40 Mainstream Radio.
